Fall Must-Haves

In  case you guys couldn't tell yet, fall is my favorite season ever. Everything is just better in the fall. Here in Albuquerque, we have The International Balloon Fiesta and that is just my favorite thing ever. If you don't live in ABQ and you've never heard of the Balloon Fiesta, I highly recommend you look it up, and maybe even visit one day! But fall just brings so many good things - Cooler weather, cuter outfits, and pumpkin everything! I just love it.

So, in honor of the first official day of fall... I wanted to share my must haves for fall! I love just about everything about fall, so this was pretty hard to put together. However, these things have been my ride or die fall faves! I can't be in the fall spirit without these things.

These are my fave because not only are they absolutely gorgeous and amazing quality, but
because they literally go with everything. These boots will fallify any look. Pair with jeans or leggings, a dressy blouse or a cozy jacket (this is my favorite cozy jacket ever!) and you've got
an adorable look.

Okay y'all I have a confession. I am absolutely obsessed with everything leopard. I love it all. The sad part of this addiction is that a good leopard is very hard to find. I have been on the hunt for a cute pair of leopard flats and I will be sure to update you all if I find an affordable pair! Leopard flats add a chic pop of animal print and really just pull together any outfit.

Is it even fall if you don't have one or two (or ten) of these in your house?! I am in love with all of their fall scents because they're all just so different and good for every occasion. For example, Leaves is my fave daytime candle. It smells SO good! But, Marshmallow Fireside is my favorite evening / night time candle. It actually smells like fall to me. Just go pick one up and trust me - BEST candle I have ever had.

This is a wardrobe essential for me. It is a very versatile piece because you can wear it any season. However, I love wearing these in the fall the most! Wear open with a cute tee under, or buttoned with a blanket scarf.

This is THE fall essential guys. Blanket scarfs actually scream fall for me. The second it is cold enough to wear these, it is officially fall in my book. Blanket scarves are cute and cozy and they have them in a million and one different plaids and different colors. Blanket scarves pair well with sweaters and leggings, jeans and tees, or dresses and riding boots! I am absolutely loving this one and this one at the moment.

These things are cozy, cute, and add the perfect amount of warmth to a look. I love pairing puffer vests with plaid button ups or striped tees, jeans or leggings, and riding boots, hunter boots, or bean boots (all of which are other fall faves of mine!)

Fashionable and functional, Hunter boots are an absolute must when it comes to fall fashion. My favorite fall colors for Hunters are the black, olive, and red tall glossy boots. These things look so cute and keep your feet nice and dry. They are especially cozy if paired with cozy socks, like these.

Not only are duck boots functional, but they are so darn cute. Paired with camp socks, leggings, and oversized hoodies or tees, Bean boots can pull together a very cozy look. Paired with blanket scarves and chambray, these boots make for a very pretty fall look! I wear mine all throughout fall and winter. Other cute versions of these boots are also available here and here.

9. PSL:

This is a major fave of mine guys, let me tell you. I LOVE me a pumpkin spice latte. I mean, I love me pumpkin spice anything... But that's besides the point. If you love pumpkin but not coffee, try adding pumpkin spice syrup to your chai tea latte or hot chocolate. Talk about yum!

So what are your fall must haves? Leave a comment below with your ride or die fall faves! Also, keep an eye out for future posts. There will be some seriously fun posts in the near future.

Until next time guys :)

The Comfiest Olive Dress

Hi everyone! I hope you all are doing well, and if you're back in class like I am... I hope you're surviving. I don't know about anyone else, but I have been drowning in homework. For some reason this semester all of my professors are trying to make life as miserable as possible, and let me tell you, they are succeeding! Okay, most depressing semester ever aside, I found myself with a little extra time this week. A friend and I went on a little shopping spree, and I found this dress! I usually would not wear something like this, but after trying it on, I just had to get it.

I have really been loving the choker trend lately, but I haven't really found any chokers that I like. So, when I saw this dress and the choker neckline it has going on, I decided to give it a try. I am SO glad I did, because this is my new favorite dress! For starters, it is the comfiest dress I have ever worn; It's super light weight and flowy, and the fabric is soooo soft. In addition to comfiness, this dress is extremely flattering. Also, BONUS, it's my favorite color! So yeah, you could definitely say this is one of the best dresses ever.

As soon as I decided to buy this dress, my little fashion obsessed mind started racing with different ways to wear it. For this post, I decided to pair it with a floppy hat and open-toe booties. In case you haven't noticed yet, I am OBSESSED with floppy hats. They are the perfect fall accessory in my opinion. I would say they are my favorite fall accessory, but I love blanket scarves just a little bit more - I cannot wait until it gets cool enough to wear them! Okay but back to this dress, I think it would look so cute paired with a denim jacket, either tied around the waist or just worn normally. You could also tie a flannel around the waist and that would be just as cute!

Okay y'all, I just needed to take a moment to show some love for one of my favorite people in the world, my best friend Samantha. This girl and I have been best friends since forever (the second grade to be exact) and we have been together through everything. I honestly might not be who I am today if it wasn't for this girl, and let me tell you, without Sam, I definitely would not have this blog. Sam is the genius behind most of these photos, and with every photoshoot we have, there are a ton of gorgeous photos of her that don't get enough love. So, I decided to do a bit of a double post, with a little bit of fashion and a little bit of love. You can follow her Instagram (@sammyshoo) HERE.

Ladies and Gents, my bestie SAM!

How cute is she???

Transitional Wear: Summer to Fall

Top (old) Similar | Similar Scarf | Denim: KanCan | Booties: Indigo Rd. | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
Headband: Buckle | Earrings: Forever21 | Watch: Kate Spade

GUYS. This is my absolute all time favorite 'too hot for fall clothes but I really want to wear fall clothes' look! LOL! I absolutely love this scarf because it's so lightweight and not too hot! I also really love the colors. I found my top last year at Marshall's and I fell in love with the color and the lace detailing on the back.

I think my headband and my pearls make this look so cute and feminine! I love the pop of bling from the headband. My booties are from two years ago, but they are still available in a darker color. They are really comfortable and pretty much go with everything. I love the fringe detailing on them. Also, I think i've found my favorite fall nail color - oxblood. It is one of my all time favorite colors and just perfect for fall!

Crushing on: Lightweight plaid scarves for 'inbetween' summer and fall.

Hope you all enjoyed this fun little post. Until next time!

Liebster Award

Hi guys! I just recently found out I was nominated for the Liebster Award. I want to thank the oh-so-sweet Milan Darling for the nomination! The Liebster Award is all about discovering new blogs and learning more about the people behind those blogs. I thought this would be fun, so first, let me answer the questions I was asked to answer in this post:

1. What’s your favorite snapchat filter?
My favorite snapchat filter would have to be the one with the gold butterflies. It makes everyone looks flawless and it's just so fun! Honorable mention would have to be the dog filter (I'm basic, I know).

2. Are there any blogs/bloggers you look up to as inspiration for your blog?
YES! I love Emily from The Sweetest Thing and Caitlin from Southern Curls and Pearls!

3. Where is your favorite place in the entire world? (Whether you’ve been there or not!)
My favorite place in the whole world would have to be Disneyland. I've only been once, but it truly is the happiest place on Earth! I recently applied for the Disney Internship Program for spring 2017, so fingers crossed I get to spend an entire semester there!

4. What is one tip you have found most helpful as a blogger?
One tip I have found to be the most helpful would have to be the big stress on high quality photos. I have seen so many blogs with low quality photos and it really does take away from the outfits.

5. Are you a dog or cat person?
Dog person, 100%! I have a 10 month old Goldendoodle named Finnegan.

6. What is your favorite thing to do after a long stressful day?
I love to watch movies! My favorite thing is to relax with a good film and some good takeout.

7. What is your all-time ultimate goal//biggest dream?
Okay honestly, I just really want to be a full time blogger. That is the ultimate goal! Oh, and maybe a big house, a hot husband, and a Range Rover too.

8. How did you decide you wanted to start blogging// What made you take the plunge?
I have always loved fashion, and with social media becoming such a major part of everyone's lives, I was noticing more and more bloggers pop up on places like Instagram. After looking at all of these blogs, I thought, "Hey! I could do that!" and started my very on blog! I have such a blast putting together posts and shooting different looks. I love it.

9. What are you doing when you’re not blogging?
I am not a full time blogger. I currently go to school full time at the University of New Mexico and work part time. In addition to that, I'm also an intern with CollegeFashionista, and involved in PINK's campus rep team at UNM.

10. How do you stay motivated?
This is a bit funny, but my biggest motivator is stress. When i've got a lot to do and i'm stressed out about it, all I want to do is get that thing done. The house, husband, and Range are also big motivators. Oh, and the fact that I love fashion and I would love to be able to afford all of the designer handbags I want. LOL!

11. Is there any type of message that you are tying to send with your blog?
90% of the things I blog about are very affordable. I like to blog about affordable things to show people that they can have cute outfits without spending a lot of money. I want girls who like fashion but don't have a whole lot of money to know that they can still have a closet full of trendy pieces!

1. Veronica from The Little Fashionista
2. Shelby from The Sweet Hot Mess
3. Maddy from Confetti Closet
4. Devon from Miss Retail Therapist
5. Dani from Danielle Alexandra

1. Thank and mention the blogger that has nominated you in your blog post.

2. Answer the questions the blogger tagged you to answer.

3. Nominate at least 5 other bloggers, but do not exceed 11.

4. List your questions and be sure to tell your nominated bloggers that you have nominated them.

1. What is your favorite blog / biggest inspiration?

2. How did you get into blogging?

3. Are you a cat or a dog person?

4. What is your ride or die handbag? (What handbag can you not live without?)

5. What is your favorite movie?

6. What is the best foundation you have ever used?

7. Would you rather wear only nude lips or only pink lips for the rest of your life?

8. What is your dream vacay?

9. What is your dream car?

10. If someone gave you $10,000 and you had to spend it on either clothes or traveling,
which would you choose? Why?

And that's it! To the blogs I have nominated, you all have amazing blogs. Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see your posts. Just a heads up, the blogs you nominate don't necessarily need to be 'new' blogs because they could be 'new' to someone else! Thanks again to Milan Darling for the nomination. I had so much fun answering these questions and picking out different blogs to nominate!

Cold Shoulder Top: Fall Edition

CS Top: Romwe (M) | Denim: KanCan | Fringe Booties: Wet Seal (Similar) | Hat: Steve Madden |
Tote: Tory Burch | Similar Necklace | Lips: MAC (Velvet Teddy) | Nails: Gelish (Rendezvous)

As fall approaches, I find myself getting ridiculously excited about all the outfits I'm going to be able to put together. This outfit was one of many I could throw together with this GORGEOUS cold shoulder top Romwe sent to me! Seriously, the possibilities are endless when it comes to the cute ways to wear this super comfy top. The material is the best; it's this cozy fuzzy material that I just love. Not to mention this top is only $11!!! I would rather this be oversized than too tight so I sized up to a medium, but I feel like I definitely could have done a small. Y'all, if you've never heard of Romwe, you need to head over to their site and check out all of the amazing (and crazy affordable) clothing they sell. When I received this top in the mail, I just knew it would look amazing with a long pendent necklace and booties.

I am also super obsessed with this felt hat I found at TJ Maxx the other day. It will basically go with every fall outfit ever. When I bought it, it had feathers at the ends of the leather tie and I really wasn't feeling them, so I decided to cut the feathers off. My fringe booties are kind of old, but I found them on Wet Seal's website for like $10. Talk about a score! I was honestly pretty worried about walking in them, but surprisingly enough, they were really easy to walk in. Yay! Oh and I was at Dillard's the other day picking up some foundation, and noticed that they were having a jewelry sale. All of their sale jewelry was an additional 50% off! I think this gorgeous necklace was like five or six dollars?! I picked up a few other necklaces (I got this one, this one, and this one!) and a pair of earrings all for under $25. I was pretty excited to say the least!

I have been loving hats like these lately! They really seem to tie fall looks together.

So, I'm planning on posting much more frequently in the cooler months. In other words, expect to see a lot more posts! If anyone has any thing they'd like to see a post about, let me know! I'd be more than happy to do some different things y'all suggest. Also, my first post for CollegeFashionista is up, and you can check it out here. Don't forget to keep an eye out for future CF posts!
